Visiting Reading
Reading, at the heart of the Thames Valley, offers excellent transport links to local, national and international markets. Strategically located near London, Reading benefits from being a major interchange on the national rail network, from good motorway connections, proximity to London Heathrow airport and a comprehensive local bus network.

International, national and local rail
Reading Station is a principal UK rail hub directly serving a total of 260 towns and cities. London Paddington is only 25 minutes away by non-stop train. Both First Great Western and Thames Trains operate services to/from London Paddington, with eight trains an hour at peak times. South West Trains also operate services from London Waterloo International to Reading. The local rail network links to 100 communities including Oxford, Maidenhead, Slough, Wokingham, Bracknell, Guildford, Basingstoke and Newbury. Car
The M4 links London directly to Reading, as well as connecting to the M25 motorway for access from the East and North. Easy access form junction 11 of the M4 will provide direct access to Reading town centre along the A33. The B3267 (Whitley Wood Lane) off the junction 11 exchange is 3 miles from Lower Earley. Air
Heathrow airport is 27 miles from Reading and can be reached in 30-45 minutes by car. The airport is served by a half hourly coach link from Reading station, and by the Heathrow Express rail link from Paddington. Gatwick airport is accessible by an hourly direct train service from Reading Station and by road via the M4 and M25. There are also hourly rail services to Birmingham and Southampton airports. Reading is easily accessed by British Rail or coach form either London Heathrow or Gatwick International Airports.
Bus & Coach
